A popular Japanese yakitori restaurant that has probably been around for about ten years now. After experiencing staff changes and moving to a new location, it has shifted from an a la carte menu to a no-menu set meal style, but the one thing that hasn't changed is that it remains very popular.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice—clean and comfortable, and the service is quite attentive overall. However, it just doesn't feel as authentically Japanese as I remember from the old location. The flavors are a bit mild, and I find some of the skewers to be undercooked, but that might be the experience the restaurant is aiming for. The presentation of the dishes seems well thought out, and there is a wide variety of sake that pairs well with the yakitori. However, the first glass of draft beer didn’t taste quite right; it felt like it might have been opened for a few days. It didn't meet expectations, so I would like to give it another try if the opportunity arises.
