Reviewer with braces: There is a restroom
"Golden Steak" near Zhonghe Daring Fa is a locally well-reviewed steakhouse with good value for the price, decent meal standards, and friendly service. Additionally, they do not charge service fees, making it quite a bargain overall.
The bread section offers four types of spreads: garlic, peanut, butter, and chocolate. You toast the bread yourself and spread it on, which is quite fun, although the garlic flavor is a bit salty. The salad bar has a variety of options, including lettuce, sliced boiled eggs, cucumbers, and sweet peppers, along with peanut powder and Thousand Island dressing for pairing. The beverage section has coffee and soda, and there are at least four types of fruit, including a whole orange on this occasion.
This time, I ordered a 16-ounce thick-cut sirloin steak (NT$420) and a pork loin + flat fish (NT$380). When the steak was served medium-rare, the heat of the iron plate had dropped a bit quickly, and it was still somewhat raw inside, but it was soft and quite large in texture. The corn chowder was surprisingly good and smooth.
Overall, for this price, being able to enjoy this quality of food, along with the all-you-can-eat salad bar and drinks, it's worth trying out if you live nearby.
