I visited a wonderful restaurant in Higobashi✨

The place is called "Iroi," located between Higobashi Station and Honmachi Station on the Osaka Metro🚃

The atmosphere from the exterior was nice, and the interior was beautiful with a stylish U-shaped counter✨

For drinks, I ordered:

The turnip was creamy, rich, and delicious. It also had pieces of turnip inside, adding a lovely pink pepper flavor✨

Appetizers
Firefly Squid Vinegar Miso 🦑
The firefly squid was tender, and the vinegar miso paired wonderfully, making it delicious🦑
Simmered Bamboo Shoots 🎋
The bamboo shoots were soft and well-seasoned, with bonito flakes enhancing the flavor, making it tasty 🎋
Wagyu Beef Tendon Stew 🐮
Cooked tenderly, it was melt-in-your-mouth and delicious🐮
Sushi with Smoked Bigeye Tuna 🍣
The flavor of the tuna paired with the smoked daikon was delicious🍣

Sashimi
Bigeye Tuna from Nagasaki 🐟
Natural Yellowtail from Ehime 🐟
Bigeye Tuna included both red meat and toro
The yellowtail was topped with soy sauce powder and was eaten as is🐟
The red meat of the bigeye tuna was rich in flavor, while the toro was tender and melted in no time, it was super delicious😍
The yellowtail had a strong flavor and a good bite, making it delicious🐟

Foie Gras and Daikon 🦆

  • Yuzu Pepper Sauce -
    I enjoyed it while dissolving a little yuzu pepper at a time.
    The grilled foie gras had a rich taste and paired perfectly with the light sauce, making it incredibly tasty🦆
    The daikon was soft and absorbed the flavors well, and the yuzu peel and the spiciness of the yuzu pepper were lovely🍊

Grilled Dish
Oysters Gratin 🦪
They served it freshly baked and piping hot🔥
Even while hot, the oyster flavor was strong🦪
Oysters were fully incorporated🦪
It was creamy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious🧀

Iroi Monaka 🍵

  • Scallops, Tobiko, Matcha Mousse ~
    The ingredients were placed atop the monaka skin, and I covered it to eat.
    The matcha mousse was fluffy, the tobiko was crunchy, and the scallops were sweet and chewy, with the monaka skin being fragrant and delicious✨

Main Course
Kumamoto Black Wagyu "Wakou"
Charcoal-Grilled Ichibo
Served with Madeira wine and fond de veau sauce
Truffle salt 🧂 was added
The medium-rare meat was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, rich, and juicy, making it immensely delicious🥰
The sauce was slightly sweet with good flavor, and the truffle salt had a strong truffle essence
Both partners worked well together and were delicious🧂

Fried Dish
Sakura Shrimp & Asparagus Spring Rolls 🦐
I dipped them in mineral-rich sweet pink Andes rock salt🧂
The skin was crispy, full of sakura shrimp, light, and flavorful🦐
The asparagus was sweet and crunchy, making it delicious✨
The rock salt, too, provided a touch of sweetness and was delightful🧂

Freshly Cooked Donabe Rice
[Nara Prefecture, Yamatokoriyama, Nikomaru]

  • Hakata Mentaiko, Dashimaki, Shiso Wakame
    I also enjoyed red miso soup.
    The Nikomaru rice from Yamatokoriyama, Nara Prefecture, is characterized by its large grains and sticky texture🌾
    The grains were big, shiny, and beautiful🍚
    It was sweet and incredibly delicious🍚
    Of course, it was great on its own, but it also paired perfectly with Hakata mentaiko and shiso wakame.
    The dashimaki was flavorful, too🥚
    And the red miso soup was tasty✨

Strawberry Pudding 🍓🍮
The rich pudding combined with the strawberry jam created a delightful harmony of richness and sourness🍓🍮

Spring Waiting Tea 🍵🌸
This is the restaurant's original Spring Waiting Tea, a blend of 5:5 Gyokuro stems and Uji tea🍵
They brewed it for me right in front of my eyes🍵
It had a vibrant green color, no bitterness, full of umami, and a refreshing aftertaste that was delightful🍵

Every dish was delicious, and the staff's service was excellent; I definitely want to visit this restaurant again🥰
