This is the store I saw introduced by Pai Shen Tuan before. I remember that many Cupids (fans of Pai Shen Tuan) made pilgrimages at that time, causing the store to be paralyzed. Now that the craze has dissipated, I passed by today and came to try it.
The store is small and the seats are a bit crowded. In addition to meals, it also sells some Vietnamese seasonings and snacks.
I remember that the accompanying Shen group recommended Vietnamese bread, but I didn’t want to eat bread that day, so I ordered the rather special-looking Vietnamese platter and the basic beef pho.
Vietnamese platter
This dish is a dry-mixed dish. The platter includes several different kinds of lettuce, as well as special betel leaf barbecue. The betel leaf makes the salty barbecue more refreshing. In addition, there are fried tofu and a large amount of offal. You can wrap a little of each with lettuce and eat it with sauce. It is a very special dish that you have not seen in other Vietnamese restaurants.
Beef Pho
The soup is quite refreshing, the meat texture is average, and overall it's quite satisfactory.
Beef salad
Just like the cold dishes eaten in Thai restaurants, the meat is immediately mixed with onions at room temperature after being blanched. It tastes warm and does not feel cold, but the seasoning is pretty good. Very refreshing, just lacking a bit of meat and a bit empty.
I didn’t particularly like the three dishes I tasted, and since I don’t usually go nearby, I have no intention of visiting again.
