Student Review - What to Eat

This time I went to a little gem of a beef noodle shop near Dongmen Station. Walking around Dongmen MRT Station, I realized that there is an abundance of beef noodle shops right in the area.

Opening Uber Eats, I found that it was really just packed full of beef noodle options. I seldom order noodles out, but with a discount coupon from Uber Eats, I decided to try takeout.

Meal:
Red oil dry noodles with dumplings - $140 (Uber price)
Discount coupon $30 = $110
In-store price $120

Thoughts:
I received this bowl of noodles about 40 minutes later. I had the wontons first, and they were so delicious! They would taste even better if they were freshly cooked. These wontons are different from the usual small wontons you find elsewhere. There’s a noticeable difference; other places usually have a lot of skin and little filling, but the wontons here have a well-balanced amount of skin and meat, with the red oil flavor perfectly adjusted. Although the noodles were a bit dry after a while, a good stir made the sauce taste still very flavorful.

Their red oil dry noodles are more than just red oil + dry noodles + meat; they also come with a meat sauce (lean pork) and half a boiled egg. You can also grab soy sauce for takeout.

The noodles have great chewiness and don’t turn mushy even after sitting out for a bit.

Overall, this noodle shop is delicious! Definitely not a letdown.

It reignites hope for noodle shops. Thanks to the Uber Eats discount coupon, I had the courage to try a new place.

Waiting Time:
Since I ordered during a non-peak time, I reserved the meal and was able to pick it up in about 5 to 8 minutes.
