🎉 Local Snacks Recommended by Beigang Residents 🎉
🎉 Always Packed with People Since Opening 🎉
This Beigang eatery only serves dinner and is a great choice for many locals' evening meals. 😁 The shrimp rice is considered their main dish, while the loach fish soup is another signature item, just like the name of the restaurant. 🤩 But I came today for the red-billed soup. 😆
Soft Bone Rice:
I originally wanted to order the shrimp rice, but it was sold out right away. 🥲 So I had to settle for soft bone rice. It looked a bit plain 🥲 but the braised soft bone was flavorful, and the soft bone part was very tender and had a chewy texture, almost like gelatin. It paired really well with rice. 😋
Red-billed Soup: (Recommended by Xiaopang)
Usually, it's clam soup, but this one uses red-billed fish. 🤩 This soup is super fresh and sweet. 👍 Compared to clam soup, this feels like an upgraded version. 👏 The meat of the red-billed fish is even more chewy and has a better texture, which I really liked. 💕
Fried Tofu and Braised Intestines:
Both were very flavorful, especially the intestines, which were full of sauce aroma. ☺️ Dipping them in Beigang chili sauce made them especially delicious. 😚
Summary:
The loach fish head soup looked good too; I didn’t get to try it this time but will come back for it next time. I especially recommend the red-billed soup to you all because it’s rare to find it at other places. ☺️ Plus, this place often has long lines even before opening, and there aren’t many seats inside, so be prepared if you want to eat here. 😆
