Taipei Minquan West Road Station - A bistro that requires reservations in advance, the menu features many exotic and creative dishes, surprisingly the Highball cocktails are super delicious!

This time we had a total of nine people dining, and after the restaurant prepared the menu for us, the cost per person, after deducting the extra drinks ordered, was 1088 TWD.
Apart from the "21-ounce American ribeye steak," which is served as a single portion, all other dishes are served in "two portions."

I will write the descriptions and reviews for each dish below the photos!

▶️ Friendly Reminder
🔹 It is recommended to make a reservation using the inline system; if there are more than 4 people, a deposit of 500 TWD per person is required, which can be deducted from the bill.
🔻 A minimum spending of 3000 TWD is required for card payments (I won't be selecting credit card payment options because of this condition).
🔻 The minimum spend is 600 TWD, and dining time is limited to 120 minutes when the restaurant is full.

▶️ Environment
🔹 The indoor space is decent, capable of accommodating about 25-30 people. For larger groups, tables are combined, making conversation a bit challenging.
🔹 The lighting is somewhat dim, decorated with various small light bulbs.
🔹 There is a projection screen inside the restaurant for broadcasting TV (I've heard you can sing karaoke if you book the entire place).
🔹 The staff will come to refill drinking water.

▶️ Dining Experience
🔹 Some dishes are very special and quite tasty, such as the confit fresh oysters with French scrambled eggs and green bamboo shoots with spicy cod roe mustard sauce. However, some dishes were not so great, like the spicy sea cucumber salad and Italian fried seafood.
🔹 The owner Jerry is very friendly and came to chat with us, even treating us to several rounds of shots (including a special plum wine mix and Whisky Coke).
🔹 Additionally, this restaurant is categorized as a "French restaurant" on Google Maps, but personally, I feel that there are many types of cuisine here, not primarily French. The business also considers itself a bistro, and the atmosphere resembles a bar, so I categorized it as a "bistro."
🔹 Based on the pricing and the deliciousness of the dishes, I rate this place 3.5 stars, and with the owner's warm hospitality and complimentary shots, I add an extra 0.5 star, making it a total of 4 stars!

French-style Asparagus with Onsen Egg NT$298 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑 When you're ready to eat, mix the onsen egg to coat the asparagus with the rich sauce. Unfortunately, the asparagus itself doesn't absorb the sauce very well, so there was a lot of egg liquid and sauce left. We ended up using a spoon to scoop up the leftover sauce XD
Japanese Salt-Miso Grilled Matsusaka Pork 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌖 This dish has an incredibly tender texture and is very special; you can't really tell it's Matsusaka pork. A friend mentioned that the meat has a bit of a ham-like texture and the flavor is somewhat similar to char siu, with a hint of sweetness. There is no item or price for this on the menu.
Oil-Preserved Garlic Fresh Oyster French-style Scrambled Eggs NT$328 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌖 This dish is very delicious; the eggs are tender and have a texture quite similar to an omelette. However, because it is oil-preserved, the overall taste is a bit oily. The combination of fresh oysters and tender eggs is very harmonious.
Mahi Classic Italian Burrata Spicy Meat Sauce Handmade Wide Noodles NT$388 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑 The wide noodles are chewy and have an excellent texture; they are high-quality noodles. Topped with a piece of Burrata cheese, which has a soft interior and a hard, dry outer skin, and is ball-shaped. The meat sauce has a bit of spiciness, but I feel the aroma is not very strong.
21 oz American Ribeye Steak NT$1688 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑 The steak is handled very well, cooked to about medium doneness, the meat is warm, tender, and juicy, decorated with rosemary on the side, and comes with pepper salt for dipping.
The color of the steak's doneness is very beautiful.
Seasonal green bamboo shoots with mentaiko mustard sauce NT$258 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 The mustard sauce is rich and surprisingly harmonious when paired with the green bamboo shoots!
Spicy and Numb Shredded Chicken NT$358 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌘 It has the flavor of salty water chicken, with a strong taste of chicken. A touch of spicy, the flavor is on the salty side, topped with shredded cucumber, peanuts, chicken skin, and lettuce. You can drizzle some lemon on top for an added layer of flavor.
Wild Fern Cold Spicy Sea Melon Seeds 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑 This appetizer is super salty and is more like a snack to go with drinks. This item is not found on the menu, and the price is unknown.
Crispy Fried Chicken Knee Cartilage NT$298 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌘 This dish uses the cartilage from chicken thighs, with a very crispy exterior. The cartilage has an excellent texture, and the dipping sauce is a mustard sauce that pairs very well.
French Yogurt Fruit Salad NT$298 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 It contains guava, tomato, grape, and lettuce. The yogurt dressing is sour and sweet, making it very refreshing!
Italian Oil-Preserved Sanma Seafood Pasta NT$368 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌘 This dish is very special. It has a strong fish flavor, and the bones of the sanma are very fine, so they can be eaten directly. The pasta has a chewy texture, and because it is oil-preserved, it feels quite greasy.
Italian-style Fried Seafood NT$298 🌕🌕🌑🌑🌑 Simple fried squid and small fish; this dish is quite disappointing and not recommended.
Black Truffle French Fries NT$238 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑 Just very ordinary fried fries, served with truffle sauce.
The best tasting Highball NT$200 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌖 The moment it touches your lips, the effervescence is very refreshing, with a strong lemon aroma, followed by a subtle hint of bottle-aged whiskey. This is one of the top Highball cocktails I've had in Taiwan! It's very pleasant overall, highly recommended to give it a try.
