This is a family-run shop that has been around for a long time. On the first day of the holiday, while the weather was decent, I happened to be nearby and thought to stop by for a coffee. Here's a brief introduction to the dishes I tried.
▪️Red Guava Cake Roll $180
I thought the flavor would be quite special, so I gave it a try. At first, the texture felt a bit strange; you can really taste the slightly gritty texture of the guava. The flavor isn't overly sweet, and there's a layer of guava sauce that is on the sour side. Overall, it was fairly palatable towards the end, but I didn’t feel it was an impressive flavor. The whipped cream filling was nice and not greasy.
▪️Oolong Tea Cake Roll $180
I preferred this one compared to the guava flavor. It was overall quite pleasant; the cake roll was soft and the filling wasn't overly sweet. However, the tea flavor was not as strong as I expected, which was a bit disappointing, and it was much smaller than the guava roll, haha.
▪️Brown Sugar Latte $180 (half sugar)
▪️Hojicha Latte $180
The latte was quite good; perhaps because I ordered it with half the sugar, the brown sugar flavor didn't come through strongly. As for the hojicha, I feel it has been spoiled by the hojicha from Starxxxx, so I thought it tasted a bit bland.
Overall, the place was quite crowded, mostly with people chatting and relaxing, not really an environment for reading or using a computer (a bit noisy). However, I thought the decor was very cute!! It has a Japanese cute style, with many nice seating arrangements. The two-person table we were assigned to was a bit small, but it was fine. The food flavors were average and not particularly impressive; personally, I wouldn't return, but I still recommend it to those who enjoy Japanese-style decor.
