Today I visited the Hong Kong-style dim sum buffet at the 港龘 restaurant located in Taoyuan. This place offers all-you-can-eat dim sum and various dishes, and the highlight is that the lunch price on weekdays is only 450 TWD per person (the price during my visit), but it will increase to 500 TWD per person starting August 1, 2024. It’s still a great deal! Moreover, there is no service charge, making it a very budget-friendly restaurant, which explains why it attracts so many people.
The restaurant has a lot of seating, and on that day, there happened to be a tour bus that had come to dine, but there was still plenty of space. Apart from having to wait in line for a bit when getting food from the buffet, the overall environment didn't feel overcrowded. Additionally, the restaurant frequently updates the dishes available, so even when it's busy, there's a benefit to dining here.
Most of the impressive dishes I had were Cantonese snacks, like freshly fried water chestnut strips, taro pastries, and freshly pan-fried turnip cake, all of which were excellent. There were also various steam baskets of siu mai and shrimp dumplings, which were quite good as well. Furthermore, many hot dishes, seafood, soups, and beverages were available, offering a rich selection of food. I highly recommend that everyone come here at least once!
