Stuffed Egg: This is a local snack from Shunchang, Nanping, Fujian 🤩. It consists of ground meat stuffed inside a duck egg. In Fujian Shunchang, during festivals and holidays, this dish – Shunchang Stuffed Egg – is a must on the dining table. It symbolizes reunion and prosperity, and tastes like meat inside the egg 👏.

Hot Dry Noodles: Hot dry noodles are a type of dry mixed noodles. The noodles are alkaline noodles, accompanied by sesame sauce, chopped scallions, pickled radish, and various other toppings. Hot dry noodles are known alongside Shanxi knife-cut noodles, Lanzhou beef noodles, Sichuan dan dan noodles, and North China fried sauce noodles as one of China’s five famous noodles 🤩.

This duck egg is filled with a generous amount of ground meat, which has no fishy smell. The duck egg is bouncier than chicken eggs. The soup contains dried shrimp, seaweed, and pickled vegetables, offering an incredibly fresh taste. A hint of chopped celery enhances the flavor, making the soup taste even more refreshing and delicious 👍.

Wuhan Hot Dry Noodles:

Once opened, the aroma of sesame sauce is intense. Hot dry noodles are essentially sesame noodles but appear quite different from those in Taiwan, especially dry 😂. It also includes pickled radish and sour bean powder as accompaniments. The noodles are also different from Taiwanese noodles, lacking the springy texture, but they are still quite tasty ☺️.

Thyme Wontons:

The soup base is the same as the stuffed egg, with the wontons being plump. Unlike wontons in Taiwan, which often have very little meat 😂, there are ten in a bowl, which is incredibly satisfying 🤭.
