Located in Zhubei, Warm Pot is a hotpot restaurant that follows a refined approach. From the environment and service to the quality of the dishes, everything is maintained at a consistent high standard, making dining a comfortable and relaxing experience. This time, I enjoyed the "A5 Wagyu Three-Person Set Meal," and the overall experience was above average, although there were a few minor points worth discussing.
First, I must praise the cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant. The spacious setting is not crowded, and the staff is friendly, creating a very welcoming atmosphere—ideal for gatherings with friends and family. For the soup base of the set meal, we chose two options: the signature spicy broth and Japanese chicken white soup. The spicy broth was surprisingly good; it was aromatic without being overly spicy, and I especially recommend the duck blood in the pot, which is tender and flavorful—one of the few spicy hotpots where you’ll want to order more duck blood. In contrast, the chicken white soup is lighter and more refreshing, but when paired with heavier-flavored ingredients, it may come off as slightly weak.
The main attraction naturally was the four selections of A5 Wagyu platter: chuck flap tail, flank steak, chuck roll, and ribeye, each with its own flavor. The meat quality was outstanding, with evenly distributed marbling and a melt-in-your-mouth texture, especially enhanced when dipped in the spicy broth. However, because it is Wagyu, the rich fat can become overwhelming if eaten in large quantities, so it's recommended to balance it with vegetables. Although the portion of side dishes in the set meal isn’t large, the unlimited refill of vegetables shows great sincerity and helps to balance the richness of the Wagyu!
As for the side dish, I chose the "Wagyu Braised Pork Rice." I initially expected a delightful surprise, but it turned out to be quite standard; the braised sauce and Wagyu flavor did not particularly blend well, which was a bit disappointing. If you just want to try something new, you can give it a shot, but it shouldn't be considered a must-order item.
For dessert, there were choices available, and that day I tried the limited Mont Blanc and fresh milk soft serve.
"Mont Blanc" was on the sweeter side, with a higher sweetness level of chestnut puree; if you're not a fan of overly sweet desserts, you might find it too rich.
"Fresh Milk Soft Serve" was refreshing and delicious, with a rich dairy flavor, making it the perfect ending after the hotpot meal.
Overall, Warm Pot is a hotpot restaurant that emphasizes quality and ingredients. The A5 Wagyu meat and spicy broth were the highlights of this visit, and the environment and service were commendable. However, from a value-for-money perspective, the prices are relatively high, and some side dishes and additional meals were average in quality. It's recommended for special occasions when you particularly want to indulge in Wagyu hotpot.
