The newly opened beef noodle shop on Nanyang Street looked very clean from the outside, so I decided to give it a try. Inside, there's a self-service drink machine, and the prices for the meals aren't too expensive. There’s also butter or spicy butter available for self-service.

• Braised Beef Noodles / Medium Bowl / NT$140:
  You can choose between ramen or knife-cut noodles; I chose ramen. The service was quite fast, and the noodles were cooked to the right texture. The pieces of beef were quite generous, around five or six pieces, each quite sizable. The beef was tender and not tough, which was nice. Unfortunately, the pickled vegetables were directly added to the soup, and the menu didn't have an option to exclude them. The soup base was fairly ordinary, but considering it's NT$140 for a bowl of beef noodles, it’s a decent option. It likely targets local students and office workers.
