The soups at this place, such as the ginseng chicken soup, are rich in flavor and paired with specially made water lily, providing an excellent texture. In particular, the meat from the bone-in chicken is tender and doesn’t break apart easily. The chicken rice, however, is relatively ordinary and fails to stand out.
The vintage bamboo design within the store enhances the atmosphere, the air conditioning is comfortable, making it perfect for enjoying chicken soup in the summer, and there are restrooms available, which further enriches the dining experience.
The service speed is quick, and the dishes are served without much wait. The staff also thoughtfully reminds us about the bitterness of the soup.
Today I ordered a personal set menu, where I can choose any soup flavor. I directly chose the noble flavor (ginseng chicken soup) that is impossible to cook at home and the water lotus for an additional 10 yuan. I have actually eaten at this chain chicken soup restaurant several times. The most praiseworthy thing is that the bone-in chicken part will not let you accidentally break it into pieces at the bottom of the pot or while drinking the soup. My bones and teeth hurt so much that I burst into tears. This is really the best part!
Mainly, I would like to praise the speed of serving meals. Every restaurant is very average and fast, so you won't be hungry for too long. Then the water lotus is prepared with special shredded ginger and sauce, not just soy sauce paste like in other noodle shops. The chicken rice is just mediocre, but Chiayi turkey rice probably won’t make the list. When I came here before, I always ordered sesame oil noodles, and the portion was just right so I wouldn’t be too full after eating it. The only flaw is that the ceramic plate has big cracks. If it is a small crack, it is acceptable, but as a caterer, the requirements for this part are very basic and important. I hope it can be improved!
