The portions of ice in this ice shop are quite large. The glutinous rice syrup and brown sugar have distinct flavors, the grass jelly and small red beans are well-matched, but the taro balls, sweet potato balls, and snow lotus seeds are slightly hard in texture.
Mixed Half Ice $70
You can choose five toppings, and it's a big bowl!
It has more quantity than the two ice shops next door that have been open for over a decade.
The half-and-half syrups are glutinous rice syrup and brown sugar syrup.
The glutinous rice syrup tastes quite similar to sweet rice dumplings.
The syrup carries the aroma of glutinous rice, but it’s not as sweet as brown sugar.
Quite unique~
If you want to eat ice but don't want it too sweet,
you can try the half-half ice here.
However, after trying it, I still love the brown sugar the most🤣
Other toppings—
I think aside from the grass jelly which is good and you can taste the fragrance,
the small red beans are a safe choice.
As for other toppings like taro balls, sweet potato balls, snow lotus seeds, and plain jelly,
I don’t highly recommend them.
Maybe it's because I went close to closing time, the sweet potato and taro balls had been sitting for a while, and they were hard to eat.
The snow lotus seeds weren’t soft either, I didn't like the texture.
The plain jelly had no flavor at all😂
So~ even though this place offers a big bowl,
I personally still prefer the flavors of other shops near Fourth Park.
I'll wait for Fu Manyi to reopen and have the brown sugar ice there again~
