AI Spot Summary

世運食品的滷味相當美味,特別推薦牛蒡天婦羅,口感豐富且飽足感十足。元首滷豆干滷得恰到好處,香菇蒟蒻丸的脆口感也值得一試。

【Foodholic Niko @ Taipei】

The first impression people have of Shiyun Food should be the bread lunch boxes or the catering they order for company gatherings. However, Shiyun Food is also known as "the stewed food shop that got delayed by bread."

I came here specifically for the stewed food!

The branch I used to frequent is near Ximen Station, and I didn’t expect that another one opened in the Taipei MRT underground street, conveniently located on my way home, so I bought some for dinner.

The item I highly recommend is the burdock tempura! ($40) It’s incredibly delicious, made from real ingredients, and is very substantial! Just finishing this piece gives you a great feeling of fullness; it's definitely a must-order!

In second place is the president’s stewed tofu ($20 for 3 pieces), which is well-infused with flavor, and the texture is just right—not too hard.

The items I feel are optional are the mushroom konjac balls ($20 for 4 pieces) and the hundred-layer tofu ($18). The texture of the balls is very special; it's a bit surprising when you bite into them because they are crunchy, but I actually prefer the usual texture of regular meatballs that I was expecting. I originally thought the hundred-layer tofu was stewed tofu, so I was a bit disappointed to find it was the layered type, and I felt it wasn't very flavorful.

Shiyun Food also sells various Hong Kong-style snacks! For example, shumai and salted egg custard buns, which I want to try next time. Additionally, they also offer oil rice and sushi, which are great options for lunch or dinner!
