Inside the night market, there’s a specialty stall that sells spicy stinky tofu and duck blood. You can see a large pot of spicy stinky tofu right at the entrance, and it looks very flavorful. However, today I felt like having something fried, so I ordered a portion of fried stinky tofu to try.

• Crispy Fried Stinky Tofu / 60 NT$:
  The fried tofu is cut at an angle and fried just right, not too soft or too hard. The pickles are similar to typical Taiwanese pickles, which pair well with the stinky tofu. The sauce drizzled on is a bit on the sweet side of soy sauce, and the accompanying chili sauce is just your regular spicy bean paste. Personally, I feel that the sauces could be a bit better; I prefer garlic soy sauce paired with homemade chili.
