AI Spot Summary

This dessert stall offers a variety of sweet soups and glutinous rice balls, with red bean soup and peanut soup being quite popular. The small glutinous rice balls have a chewy texture that is satisfying. The sesame-filled rice balls are not as generously filled as expected, but overall, it is still delicious and tasty.

The food stall has a nostalgic charm and a warm atmosphere, providing a pleasant dining environment. Although seating is limited, you can choose to take your meal to a nearby park to enjoy.

I’m here to introduce another favorite spot near the Shida Night Market – "Dessert Stand Under the Big Tree on Taisun Street"!

The "Dessert Stand Under the Big Tree on Taisun Street" is about an 11-minute walk from Taipower Building Station. It doesn’t have a storefront; it’s just a small food cart that gives off a vintage vibe along with warmth and a sense of community.

The cart itself has a bar seating area for three people, and there are two small tables nearby that can accommodate around 4-5 people. It’s also quite pleasant to take your food to the adjacent Taisun Park!

Here, besides selling various dessert soups (red bean soup, peanut soup), small sweet dumplings (red and white), and large stuffed dumplings (sesame, peanut), they also sell tofu pudding!

Peanut small dumplings for $60 + one sesame dumpling for $10.
I find that the small dumplings here perform quite excellently; they have a chewy texture and don’t turn soft or limp. The portion is decent; you won’t be served just a few.

Although the peanut soup is rather sweet, it feels very refreshing when you drink it!

You can buy sesame dumplings individually, which is great! You can decide how many you want to eat, and if you want different flavors, you don’t have to worry about getting too full or having too many.

I originally wanted to order one sesame and one peanut dumpling, but since the owner hadn’t cooked the peanut dumplings yet and I would have to wait 10 minutes, I only ordered the sesame one.
I feel that the sesame filling was delicious, but it wasn’t as full or overflowing as I had hoped. It’s a bit of a pity, but the good still outweighs the bad.
