Breaking the boundaries of dietary classifications, this set meal shop features soup and rice as the main stars 🍚

I have visited this shop many times myself; it’s conveniently located in the underground shopping area connected to Yokohama Station, so you don’t have to worry about the weather.

Traditional Japanese set meals typically feature fish or meat as the main dish, but here, the main dish is a bowl of soup. The regular menu usually includes five types of soups, along with one or two seasonal limited-time options.

To order, you choose the main soup, and you can select either brown rice or mixed grain rice. It also comes with two side dishes (one of which is a semi-cooked egg) and a bite-sized dessert.

This time I ordered the seasonal limited soup curry set for ¥1390, and the side dish I received was an onion salt grilled hamburger patty. The sauce from the side dish is super delicious when mixed with the rice, and you can get unlimited refills of rice for free, so anyone with a big appetite doesn’t have to worry about not being full. There are also four types of furikake and toppings available on the table to enjoy with the rice~

Each soup used as the main dish is packed full of ingredients, and sometimes, even when I'm not very hungry, I find it hard to finish. After many visits, I'm always touched by the gentle soup base; it feels very friendly to the body, yet it’s not overly bland or tasteless. You can really appreciate the original flavors of each ingredient.

The seating arrangement in the shop is a bit cramped, and there's often a wait during dining hours, but I highly recommend it! I think it’s a flavor that the whole family will enjoy~
