Weiji Chongqing Xiaomian Zhixue Store is located on Zhongzheng Road next to Donghua University in Shoufeng Township, quite close to the school.
Although Google search results only show the words Chongqing Noodles, Weiji Chongqing Noodles is clearly written on the menu.
If you search using this name again, you will find that there is another store in Ji'an Township.
Today I took out Chongqing noodles, Internet-famous wolf tooth potatoes, hot and sour boneless chicken feet, vinegar-stuffed potato shreds, and Sichuan sweet potato skins, totaling about 400 yuan.
Chongqing noodles:
The dough is quite elastic, and the large amount of crushed peanuts and the spicy flavor are quite harmonious in the bowl.
Internet celebrity Wolf Tooth Potato:
Cut the potatoes into thin wavy strips and sprinkle with special seasoning.
It has a crisp texture, fragrant and numb taste, and is very delicious.
Spicy and Sour Boneless Chicken Feet:
Specially made with sour and spicy seasoning, the bones of the chicken feet are completely removed, and the full gelatinous texture is quite satisfying.
Vinegar potato shreds:
Although it’s only NT$120, the portion is quite impressive.
Smooth potato shreds, sour white vinegar, and some chili peppers for garnish, it goes very well with rice.
Sichuan sweet potato skin:
This is a very rare product in Taiwan. It is a sweet potato flour product.
Cut the sweet potato skin into strips and bake it with fillings in between. This is the special delicacy you enjoy today.
Dried radish, coriander, and chopped green onion are wrapped in elastic mustard skin and sprinkled with seasonings.
The taste is interesting and the spicy taste is quite good.
Overall, it is a pretty authentic and distinctive Sichuan style restaurant.
Although you can freely adjust the spiciness of each dish, the boss will tell you seriously that mild spiciness is enough for Taiwanese tastes.
Based on my taste evaluation, the spicy food is indeed as spicy as other Taiwanese restaurants' medium spicy or above.
The store also sells a wide variety of Chinese snacks.
I wanted to buy spicy strips that day, but because it happened to be summer vacation, all the food was sold out by students returning home from Donghua the day before.
If I have the opportunity to pass by the Tung Wah area again, I will want to visit again. Whether it is to buy snacks or dine, it is quite worth it.
Recommended to everyone!
