The dish selection is rich; stinky tofu and rice cakes are must-tries. Buckwheat noodles are suitable for hot weather, and the fried radish cake is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Desserts like purple rice red bean porridge and mochi are satisfying. Soy milk miso ramen and fried king oyster mushrooms are also worth a try.
The restaurant's decor is primarily based on exposed concrete architecture, creating a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere that makes people feel relaxed. Although the ventilation system is not great, the smell of the stinky tofu is quite strong.
The service is decent, suitable for group dining, and reservations are required in advance.
Environment
Kongya has finally reopened after renovation; now hurry and make a reservation to try it out. The first time I realized that vegetarian food can be this delicious 😋. Although the prices are a bit high, it’s really good. There are plenty of seats, making it suitable for group dining, but one downside is the poor ventilation system. The restaurant sells stinky tofu, and as soon as you enter, the smell is quite overwhelming.

Parking
I rode my scooter there on the day, and there aren't many roadside parking spots, so it's a bit inconvenient to drive.

The atmosphere is comfortable, and the exterior features exposed concrete architecture. There are two paid parking lots within about a 3-minute walk nearby 🅿️. Currently, they are operating on a first-come, first-served basis! I've been here twice since the renovation, and I ordered the steamed stinky tofu for $135. Stinky tofu and rice cakes are a must-order, but personally, I'm a noodle enthusiast 😝. The stinky tofu has just the right amount of odor, and the texture is soft and delicious—highly recommended!
The dry mixed noodles with vegetarian minced meat cost $108. The sauce is just right—tasty and not salty, but I'm not a fan of the smoky flavor from the tofu skin?
The cold buckwheat noodles for $108 are a must-try when the weather is hot and my appetite is low! The noodles are chewy and pair perfectly with the sauce... absolutely amazing 🤤.
As for the fried items, my personal favorite is the fried radish cake! The flavor is perfectly balanced; it doesn’t just taste like radish cake alone, and it’s fried to perfection with crispy edges 👍.
They also serve buckwheat tea, but I find the flavor a bit too strong for my liking 🙂↔️. So I ordered the stone-ground honey smoothie for $108. Although the entire cup looks a bit scary with its green color, it tastes incredibly good, with the right amount of lemony sourness—finished it in no time! This is a must-order every time‼️
Lastly, you have to order the purple rice and red bean porridge for $75. They will give you a small cup of coconut milk to add in 🤍. The little mochi inside is packed with sesame and is super delicious! I don't understand why the peanut pie is so popular, but I think it’s incredibly tasty 🖤—must order‼️ This place is definitely suitable for friends who enjoy meat!
