This time I'm reviewing a ramen special
This is a ramen shop located near the Shida Night Market

Currently, in Taipei, eating ramen usually requires waiting in line for a while before you can get a seat
This place is no exception
On the weekday evening when I visited, I had to wait about 20 minutes before being seated

The shop offers only two flavors of ramen: rich soup and clear soup
It's simple, depending on whether you want a thicker broth or a lighter one

Both types of ramen come with pork and chicken chashu as well as slices of duck breast
What's special is that this ramen doesn't come with an egg
For someone like me, Dixon, who loves eggs, it feels like something is missing

Additionally, if you want more meat, you can find options to add on the menu
You can add more duck breast, pork chashu, or chicken chashu!
If you find the ramen isn't enough, you can choose chashu rice as well!

Overall, I think the taste of the ramen here is above average
But it's not particularly amazing or memorable
Just an average ramen shop you can visit!

For those who enjoy trying various ramen flavors and styles
You can come and give it a try
After all, their broth is mainly chicken soup flavored
Ramen lovers are welcome to come and collect!

👉 Clear Soup Chicken Ramen $280
As mentioned earlier
I ordered the clear soup chicken ramen this time
It comes with duck breast and two types of chashu
I think the meat is nicely cooked and very tender

The noodles used are thin ones
Not too hard or soft
There’s also a yuzu paste on the side for seasoning

The overall flavor is okay
But it tastes like typical ramen with no particularly strong appeal for a next visit
Because it doesn’t have any memorable highlights
The chicken soup isn't overly salty and is quite refreshing to drink

👉 Duck Breast Chashu Rice $80
For the duck breast chashu rice, I think the cost-performance ratio is quite high
The portions of chashu and duck breast are generous and sincere

For those who find one bowl of ramen insufficient
I recommend ordering this chashu rice as a supplement
The taste is quite good
Similar to the chashu and duck breast used in the ramen
And the amount of rice isn't too much
Enough to fill you up after a bowl of ramen without being overwhelming

In terms of food flavor and taste at this shop
I find it average without any particularly impressive points
In my evaluation, it's like a roadside ramen shop you can eat at
But it’s not something I would visit specifically for

For a ramen shop, this place is quite spacious
Besides the space in front of the bar
There’s also a long row of tables inside

Even so
During peak meal times
There's still a bit of a queue to be seated
It takes about 15 to 20 minutes

The interior decor is quite simple and elegant
With a predominantly white theme

So the overall dining atmosphere is quite comfortable

It's just a simple order and deliver process

The price is in the normal range for a typical Taipei ramen shop
Considering the generous portions of chashu and duck breast
I think the pricing is quite reasonable

So in terms of price, I feel it's standard
And it aligns well with its overall performance

As mentioned before
It's a standard performing ramen shop
If you specifically want to try chicken soup ramen
And you're near Shida
You can come here and experience their offering

The overall flavor is okay
And with plenty of chashu and duck breast
It enriches the overall taste quite a bit

After checking the reviews online, I decided to give it a try.

This time I ordered chicken soup ramen (rich broth). First of all, the chicken flavor in the broth isn't too strong, but since it includes some additional ingredients, it leans more towards that flavor, which is still quite good. There are two slices each of pork and chicken chashu; the pork chashu is thin and a bit salty, while the chicken chashu is more delicious, tender and not dry. As for the noodles, I personally find them a bit hard, but I prefer them that way.

In the end, if the portion isn't enough, you can add a ball of noodles for free delivery, and overall, it's still quite good.
