The restaurant is celebrated for its snow desserts, especially the pearl milk tea snow ice, which is recommended for its balanced sweetness and generous toppings. The tofu dessert is average, with the green beans being a bit hard, and it's sweeter than the snow ice.
The atmosphere is lively and bustling, with a spacious two-story layout that accommodates many visitors, making it a popular spot for dessert lovers.
The service is efficient, with a straightforward ordering process at the counter, although the timing of dessert delivery could be improved.
Three Siblings Shaved Ice in Wanhua, Taipei
During my student days, I often went to Ximen for ice treats. The place has two floors for dining, and you have to order and pay at the counter. The restroom has been moved to the first floor.
I am a fan of shaved ice. At first glance, the ice doesn’t seem to have much to offer. At this price point, they’re making a huge profit (but that’s typical for ice shops). However, one person would find it quite a lot to finish one serving. I recommend sharing between two people to avoid getting too cold.
✨ Personal recommendation:
◽ Pearl Milk Tea Shaved Ice ✨ $130 NT
> Milk tea shaved ice with large tapioca pearls
> The shaved ice itself isn't very sweet, with a hint of tea flavor
> There are plenty of tapioca pearls, and they start off soft and warm
Midway through, they have the usual chewy texture, but they get harder towards the end.
◽ Tofu Pudding Series $50-80 NT
> The menu lists popular combinations that everyone often orders
If you want to change or add ingredients, you can tell the counter staff directly
> The tofu pudding is average, and the mung beans are a bit hard
> The tofu pudding series is sweeter than shaved ice, so I wouldn't recommend it.
Apologies in advance, I did not take pictures of what this place is most well known for, but still want to leave a review to recommend this place to others. We wanted just hot dessert like red bean or tofu custard, which they have and we ordered. When we saw the snow desserts that were flying around and the big pictures advertising the snow desserts on the wall we caved in and ordered one (and in my distraction I forgot to take a picture).
But this place is very efficiently run and heavily visited, many tourists as well. They have a large amount of seating and it was easy for us to find given how many people were around. But yeah, the snow dessert we ordered later came before the other things that we ordered. And it was really great, definitely worth a try.
The grass jelly dessert I ordered was fine, and was what I was looking for but nothing special. Just order any of their snow ice desserts though, you won't be disappointed.
