【Foodholic Naiko@Milan, Italy】
This restaurant "El Barbapedana" is located near the canal area of Milan. It was originally on the list of things to eat. The whole store is small and there are not many seats. I originally saw the food review and suggested making a reservation first, but we couldn't open the store. Arrived 15 minutes later and found that there were not many customers in the store.
This store specially provides an English menu, so you don’t have to read it in Italian and English. It’s not bad~
Poached octopus with potatoes and olives €13
The octopus was cooked quite tender, and both the octopus and the potatoes were delicious (I dared not eat the olives...), but I can’t say it was the best thing I had eaten during this trip to Italy, it was just averagely delicious.
Osso bucco Milanese risotto €26
The rice risotto Milanese is more delicious than expected. It is not bland and tasteless as I thought when I saw the photo. The rice center of the risotto rice is hard, but the hardness is just right.
Some parts of the beef are quite tender, and everything is open, but some parts taste a bit dry.
There is a lot of marrow in the bones that can be dug out and eaten. When I took the first bite, I was shocked by the taste of the bone marrow alone. Later, it was better to eat it with stewed rice.
Seabass fillet €22
The meal was completely different from what we expected. The fish was fried, but it tasted pretty good. It was considered the best fried food in Italy.
The side dish tastes like spinach, with a very creamy flavor. I usually don’t like spinach, but this seasoning is delicious.
The only confusing thing is that it says crunchy almond on the menu, but after eating, I still don’t know where the almond is.
