The lightly roasted coffee has a fruity tone without being overly acidic. The "Hakata Umaka Blend" is a very pleasant cup of coffee, and the accompanying lotus caramel crisp adds a touch of happiness.
The store is located on the second basement floor of the department store, in an open booth format, featuring a bright and light atmosphere that makes people feel comfortable.
☕️ World Coffee Roasting Championship Champion Coffee Shop in Hakata City for Relaxed Drinking
"Beans & Aroma" is a shop founded by Naoki Goto, the champion of the 2013 World Coffee Roasting Championship. The shop is located about a 20-minute drive from Hakata City in Shiramizu, and I accidentally discovered that there is also a branch in the city!
Located on the second basement floor of a department store, the shop has an open layout that feels pleasantly bright with a light, airy vibe. The larger area sells coffee beans and related products, while there are only a few small seats for dining in.
Since this was a rare opportunity, I ordered the branch-exclusive "Hakata Umaka Blend." "Umaka" means delicious in the Hakata dialect, referring to the delicious recipe from Hakata. This lightly roasted coffee has a fruity tone without being overly acidic, making it a very enjoyable cup.
Moreover, their cups are truly stunning! It's breathtaking! Each cup comes with a piece of lotus flower caramel crisp, and whenever I find shops that offer something along with the drink, it always brings a little bit of happiness.
A champion's shop guarantees a certain level of quality, and this branch is conveniently located, making it easier to enjoy. The packaging of the coffee products next to the shop is also beautiful, making it a great gift option. I highly recommend it to everyone.
