This restaurant is famous for its signature pig trotters and three-layered pork. The pig trotters have a crispy skin and tender meat, but the taste is on the salty side. The three-layered pork has a good balance of fat and lean meat, and it's served with fewer vegetables, making it more suitable for customers who don't mind rich flavors.
The restaurant has plenty of seating, a relaxed atmosphere, and is perfect for enjoying a leisurely time with beer.
The waitstaff will provide ordering services in their respective areas, and the overall service experience is good.
This restaurant in Munich is probably well-known far and wide. If you come to Munich, you definitely have to try the pork knuckle, and you can't miss having a beer here since this place is the birthplace of their beer! The inside has plenty of seating, and most of the time, you can find a spot to sit when you come in. Once seated, a waiter will come to take your order in their service area!
What we ordered today is:
❤️ Signature Pork Knuckle
This is the dish that everyone must try when they come here! The skin of the pork knuckle is fried to a very crispy texture, while the meat inside is very tender. However, I think the biggest drawback is that I find the flavor quite strong; it's really a bit too salty for my taste.
❤️ Three-layer Pork
The distribution of fat and lean meat is fairly even, but I still think it's a bit too greasy. Plus, the entire dish is mainly meat, and there usually aren't any vegetables on the side, just some potatoes as an accompaniment! It's quite unfriendly for those who love to eat vegetables.
Honestly, I feel happier coming here for the beer 🍺 than for the pork knuckle. After all, the beer here is really famous. Although the pork knuckle is well-known, even my friend from America thinks it’s too salty, making it hard to finish a whole portion! Of course, I think it's a good experience to come once, but I don't think I'll want to come back every time! I can only imagine visiting this restaurant again when I really have no idea where to eat!
