User review: There were two wash stations, which was nice.

I've eaten here twice before, both times taking it to-go.
This time I came to eat on-site and found there were quite a few seats available.
It was pretty crowded during lunch, but the wait wasn't too long, although we had to share a table.
For three people, we ordered the following dishes: Braised Pork Rice (large) 65 TWD, Clear Soup with Pork (70 TWD), Braised Cabbage (large) 60 TWD, Cabbage (large) 60 TWD, Bamboo Shoots (large) 60 TWD, Tofu (large) 30 TWD, Fried Tofu (large) 30 TWD, Braised Duck Egg 20 TWD, and a la carte Braised Pork 150 TWD.
Overall, the flavors were on the salty side, but it was very satisfying. 😊 The braised pork rice had a good mix of fat and lean meat, with a dark color and a gelatinous texture that made it stick to the mouth. The soup was delicious, and the meat was tender, not dry. The tofu was well-braised, and all the side dishes were flavorful. The braised pork was tender and easy to eat, and the duck egg paired excellently with rice. The service was fast, with a high table turnover, but the attitude of the staff could have been better.

The experience is really not very good. I went all the way to Wanhua to eat here, but no matter the food, environment, price, or service, I felt it was terrible. 🥺

1. We ordered a large round of meals, among which the better ones were braised pork rice, braised cabbage, and duck eggs. The others were really bad... Guazai broth was just a slightly sweet meat soup; Kang pork was very braised. It was not flavourful, soft and tender, and even a little tough; the tofu looked dark in color but was not marinated at all, and was just super white ordinary tofu inside; the garlic chicken was also super ordinary, just an ordinary chicken cold dish drizzled with a little garlic sauce; The most outrageous thing was the braised saury with wild sauce. It was cold and soaked in soy sauce. This dish was really unpalatable (it had an indescribable salty, sour and fishy smell) and we didn’t finish it in the end...
2. It’s not bad to say that its prices are affordable. The small bowl of braised pork rice at $35 is really small; the kang pork rice at $95 is actually quite expensive. It’s just a piece of meat with a little white rice at the bottom.
3. Service is 0 points... The waiter forgot to deliver the food (the order amount and quantity were correct). We reported that a few dishes had not been served yet, and even questioned that we did not order or pay at all... Fortunately, we took pictures of the items we ordered. Get used to it, otherwise no one would pretend to be dead after receiving money😅
4. Although there is air conditioning, the seats are really crowded, and the people next door will be eating together; the table is not wiped clean, and the spoons are wet after washing.

➡️The conclusion is that if you still want to come, just order braised pork rice. Personally, even if I pass by his door, I will never walk in and eat again.

After playing ball in the evening, I wanted to visit the Guangzhou Street night market, so I walked to Huaxi Street. I thought of a restaurant with braised pork rice "Xiao Wang Boiled Melon" that many YTs are promoting recently. I came to enjoy the fun and saw that it was already there. Someone hit it first, and there was only one star@@
There are quite a few people queuing up, but the tables are turned over very quickly and the food is served even faster. The table is full in less than 5 minutes after a single meal.
We ordered braised pork rice + mushroom braised pork rice + melon seed broth + shredded bamboo shoots + cabbage braised
The contrast between the dark color of the rice and the light taste is great, and the side dishes are just average. I can’t say it’s delicious. I can only say that the reputation is greater than the deliciousness of the food, but it’s not as bad as one star.

I suddenly wanted to eat at a restaurant with a table full of side dishes, so I decided to unlock Xiao Wang’s boiled melon that had been marked for a long time.

The two of us ordered two bowls of meat-free rice, braised cabbage, shredded bamboo shoots, tofu, fried tofu, and melon pork in clear soup.
When the food was served, I found that I ordered too much and I regretted it🫨

The meat is quite large and thick! !
The meat is cooked very soft and tender, and the meat is well processed. There is no pig smell or pig hair residue.
But...their marinade...has no taste...
There wasn't even the aroma of soy sauce, and I didn't know what I was eating.
The tofu was very dark in color but tasteless, and the fried tofu had a slight taste.
The most delicious thing inside is the clear soup with melon seeds and meat.

Overall, I am quite disappointed. The food looks delicious, but tastes completely different. If you want to eat Braised Pork Rice and Braised Pork Rice, I think there will be more and better choices in Taipei, and I will not visit again. .
