❤️‍🔥 Grandma's Grass Rice Cake at the End of the Street ❤️‍🔥

During the Lunar New Year, I brought my cousins from Taipei to Fenchihu to have some fun. There weren't many people around, and it turned out to be quite nice. I wondered, has the number of visitors in Fenchihu really decreased this much?
Oh! Recently, with the earthquakes, there probably aren't many people daring to come up here...
I felt a bit scared driving down the mountain... (That day was the first day of the New Year, and the earthquake happened on the second day)

This grass rice cake shop is located on the very old street in Fenchihu. The second generation has opened three branches with slightly different methods, so quality varies—each has its pros and cons! (Two branches in Chiayi and one in Tainan)

But this one still tastes pretty good, with both sweet and savory options. The sweet ones include red bean, sesame, peanut, and more.
The savory one is the traditional filling of meat and pickled vegetables.

When I got it, the grass rice cake was still very hot, having been freshly steamed, so I couldn't eat it right away and had to wait a bit!

❣️ Sesame
I ordered the sesame flavor, and the taste was rich and not too sweet, with a wonderful sesame aroma!

❣️ Savory
My cousin ordered the savory one, which is the traditional flavor, filled with meat and pickled vegetables. The distance shot wasn't very good 😂😂 but I think everyone has tried this before 😂😂

In short, if you come to Fenchihu, you can give this a try. There's also a very famous donut shop below (I will write about that in the next post).
