The overall flavor of the dishes is moderate. The Chuncheon spicy stir-fried chicken is served in a small portion and is a bit salty. The cheese adds to the texture, and the grilled meat rice ball has a nice sesame oil aroma, making it the best dish in the set meal. The boneless fried chicken with red sauce tastes good but is slightly greasy, while the radish in the side dishes has the best flavor.
The restaurant environment is comfortable and is a suitable place for relaxed dining.
In terms of service, you can only choose either a drink or soup, which feels a bit stingy, but the overall experience is still acceptable.
#Three Gorges
I remember this Korean restaurant has been around for quite a while in the competitive Northern University area. Today we came for the boneless fried chicken. I was drawn to the menu by the Chuncheon stir-fried chicken, so I also ordered a portion of that.
At the beginning, they serve three small side dishes. I found the radish quite tasty. The kimchi was a bit sour, which I didn't really like. The seaweed sprouts had a rather mild flavor. In the end, I only refilled the radish once 😆.
The Chuncheon stir-fried chicken for two includes some vegetables, cheese, rice balls, and soup. I think the portion is a bit small. The amount of meat and vegetables is not much. The cheese portion is also not large (I've had other places that cover the pot with cheese). The taste is okay, slightly salty. The cheese adds a bonus, as it helps to balance most of the spiciness. You can only choose either soup or drink, which feels a bit stingy 😂. However, the grilled meat rice balls in the set were unexpectedly delicious. After mixing it up, you can easily shape it into a ball for a convenient bite-sized portion. It has a faint sesame oil aroma, and the seaweed and meat are nicely garnished. This was the best part of the set 😆.
For the boneless fried chicken, I chose the red sauce. It was fried just right; not chewy or dry. The skin was a bit greasy, and the sauce was thickly coated. Eating too much can definitely make it feel heavy. It came with two pieces of fried rice cake, which were quite tasty. The bland filling in the rice cake nicely offset the thick sauce.
Overall, I find it to be a pretty suitable place for a relaxed meal. The seating and environment are quite comfortable. However, I think the taste is fairly average, although there are some decent dishes. Next time, I'd like to try the hot pot and pancakes. The stir-fried chicken is something I feel like I've had enough of 😅.
