The meal options are diverse, with light bites such as bagels, Vietnamese baguettes, and sandwiches, paired with main dishes like rosemary chicken legs, which are quite satisfying in taste. The drinks include hand-brewed coffee, which is of acceptable quality.
The café has three floors, decorated primarily in white, gray, and blue tones, making it very bright and comfortable, suitable for studying and digital workers. The overall atmosphere is quiet, giving a sense of freedom and relaxation.
After ordering, you can pick up your meal, serve yourself water, and there is no time limit for dining. The relaxed and carefree service style makes people feel at ease.
Banana Blue Coffee, a spacious three-story café located near Shilin MRT Station, is an ideal café for working all day, as it has no time limit.
When I visited on a Saturday afternoon, there were many students and digital nomads who came here to study and work, including several college couples cozying up together. The demographic kept the noise level manageable. I’ve also quietly added this café to my list of "study cafés" 📌.
Environment
As you approach the main entrance, you can see the entire space is built with exposed concrete, and there's a large blue banana 👉🔵🍌. The overall décor primarily features white and gray tones, complemented by royal blue accents.
The first floor has a large lobby area with several uniquely styled sofas, and the ordering counter is inside.
When you go up to the second floor, you’ll find a vast seating area, which also has an outdoor smoking section with a few tables.
On the third floor, there are even more seats, and it is brighter than the second floor, benefiting from almost entirely natural light.
The advantage is that almost all the seats in the building have power outlets, and since the café is located on a corner, it enjoys ample natural light from both sides, making it an excellent environment for studying or using a computer.
Food
The menu in the café is very simple and easy to understand, featuring a full page of drinks and a full page of food.
Beverages include various hand-brewed coffee, flavored coffee, and soft drinks, while the food options include bagels, Vietnamese bread, sandwiches, round breads, pan-fried toasts, and thick slices of toast, available in different bread and filling combinations. I think there are plenty of light meal options, and there are even more substantial offerings like rosemary chicken thighs, which are genuinely satisfying and not hard to eat. Therefore, spending an entire day in this café is absolutely no problem!
Service
After ordering, you find a seat, and the staff will give you a calling device; you can pick up your meal once it beeps. Generally, aside from placing your order, you won’t have many interactions with the staff.
Each floor has drinking water available for self-service, and there’s no time limit on dining, making the café a very free and chill environment.

Overall, just with:
With these three points, I already have a high regard for Banana Blue Coffee! Plus, the food and coffee are also of a decent standard, so it will undoubtedly be one of the cafés I’m willing to revisit.
If you’re a digital worker needing a computer setup or a student looking for a quiet place to study, this café will be perfect for you! 👍
