Summary: The environment is beautiful, very inviting to stay. If you enjoy the ambiance, you should visit! However, if you care about the quality of the food and the overall experience as much as I do, please think twice.
Recently, I saw many social media influencers posting about this place and was excited to join the queue. However, I left disappointed. 🥺
Fresh fruit and cream cake 190 per slice
Our slice had a missing corner and also had cutting marks...😥 The amount of fruit was also quite limited. I believe the skills of cutting cake at a café are very important.
When ordering, the staff informed us that there was "one slice of grape flavor left" and "peach flavor sold out," so we ordered that slice... but I saw that four tables that were seated after us had peach flavor (it wasn't a long wait). I wonder if they had a new batch or if they reserved them for waitlist customers? In any case, the staff didn’t inform me at all. 🥲
Red Heart Guava Cheesecake 160 per slice. When it was served, the middle was still frozen, and we couldn't cut it into two pieces... we had to wait for it to thaw a bit. 😂
After one hour of dining, we were reminded that our time was up? We had barely been there for an hour. Later, they apologized for keying in the wrong order and gave us a complimentary cookie, but the overall experience was already not great... 😂 Just think about it! I ran a second trip and had seriously waited for two hours.
The shop doesn't provide a phone number, so I couldn’t check the waitlist status. The only way to know is to go back to the counter to ask. I happened to receive a call from an unknown number, but the voice was too faint and it disconnected. I was worried that it was from the shop, so I hurried back... only to find out it wasn't. 🤣
The shop has some strict rules 😂 but they aren't enforced. We followed the rule of not sitting by the windows while waiting... but once I was seated, both window seats were occupied (?!) by people genuinely sitting and chatting, not just taking pictures.
Sharing my waiting experience:
I went to wait on a Sunday afternoon at 15:30, and the shop said it would be around 17:30. But in reality, I waited just over 40 minutes before I received a call (I had pretty much given up by that time). The following Saturday at 13:58, I went to wait again, and the shop said they would notify at the latest by 16:00. Sure enough, it was around that time (a lot of groups behind us gave up on waiting). If you really don't want to queue, you should arrive well before the shop opens. 😂
This long-awaited café 😥 really left me feeling quite dissatisfied.
