Drink shop | NT$60~NT$60

AI Spot Summary

Conclusion: The average quality of chain drinks makes me want to drink them when the weather is hot.

A brief review:
The area around Fu Jen Catholic University is really a battleground for hand-shaken beverages, with a ton of chain brands opening here; one closes and then another opens again—maybe there are just a lot of students here, like ants, haha!
"Dezheng" originated in Taichung, attracting attention with its blue and white minimalist aesthetic. It features three different roasts of oolong tea: spring oolong, light oolong, and roasted oolong, used for their hand-shaken drinks. Items like cheese lids and tea jelly are popular choices.

"I refuse." I still love the kind of drinks that seem troublesome for the staff to prepare, as I sometimes struggle with too many choices. After thinking for a few minutes, I decided on this one!

🥤 Roasted Milk Tea (light sugar / less ice):
I didn't want to drink tea but wanted a hand-shaken drink; being slightly lactose intolerant, I often opt for non-dairy creamers. I thought this would be a bit troublesome, so I ordered it.
To my surprise, it was really delicious! The roasted tea flavor and the non-dairy creamer blended perfectly. But I should've known not to add sugar; the fruit sugar inside was a total flavor destroyer. Some of the sugar that hadn’t dissolved would suddenly hit my tongue while I was enjoying the tea aroma, very much like when you’re watching something on Netflix and the connection drops. I’ll know for next time.

🥤 Sugarcane Spring Oolong (no sugar / less ice):
I have to say, this drink is the most outstanding one in "Dezheng".
I’ve probably tried everything on their menu, and this one has consistently been one of my top choices. And it has to be no sugar.
"Why?"
Sugarcane is the raw material for cane sugar, replacing fruit sugar and perfectly blending with the delicate fragrance of spring oolong. Sugarcane also helps reduce the astringency from the tea, turning it into sweetness.

Oh, by the way, since it's a chain, you can’t escape that central kitchen tea taste. If you really want to enjoy tea, I’d recommend going to a tea house for a different experience.
This place is usually very busy, and I was lucky not to wait much. But they definitely seem experienced; the turnaround for drinks was super quick.

The downside is that sometimes there are people parking their scooters in a way that's annoying, but you can't really blame them.
"Dezheng" is probably the place I go to when I'm thirsty and feeling lazy, looking for a quick solution.
