Before leaving Taitung, I thought the only flavor from Taitung I could slowly savor on the train ride back would be hand-shaken drinks!
I found out that the well-known Matsumoto Fresh Milk Tea, which is only available in the south, had opened a shop in Taitung City, so I immediately drove there. The yellow sign was very eye-catching, and the store's design style was very nostalgic, typical of traditional bubble tea shops. 😆
Each of us ordered a drink, and noticing that the size difference between L and XL on the menu was only 5 NT dollars, my desire to save money stirred within me. Eventually, I couldn't resist the temptation and ordered both drinks in XL. That cup was so large I couldn't hold it with one hand. 😂 It's been a long time since I've encountered such a big cup at such a good price.
This time, we ordered:
Golden Buckwheat Oolong Tea (XL, no sugar, normal ice, $35)
This was a very refreshing oolong tea with a subtle buckwheat flavor, which was quite nice. The $35 XL was refreshing and hydrating, making me frequent the restroom.
Luhana Danta Tea (XL, 30% sugar, no ice, $60)
This drink was ordered based on online reviews, and I followed a friend's suggestion to get 30% sugar—it was just right! 😆 Normally, I drink either unsweetened or just slightly sweetened drinks, so this was completely acceptable. The Danta tea doesn’t taste like Indian Chai; instead, it has a mysterious flavor reminiscent of milk candy milk tea, which I found quite unique. It's a drink I haven’t had before, and I would want to order it again next time. I hope one day they open a branch in the north!
Due to its uniqueness and cost-performance value, I couldn't help but want to give it 5 stars! I recommend it to everyone! ~
