I just happened to run to Banqiao, New Taipei to meet a friend. I thought about finding a place to sit and chat, and it was quite convenient being near the Banqiao train station... After strolling around the Dayuan Department Store, I came here to rest.

The space inside the shop is quite large! There are dining areas on the second and third floors, with plenty of seats. However, there are fewer seats for groups of 3 to 4, so you might end up sharing a large table with others. The decor has a very retro wooden style, with some exquisite arrangements and decorations.

Since there is no time limit, it’s very suitable for studying or working. Some seats even have power outlets available. The environment isn’t too noisy, and customers tend to speak softly with a shared understanding!

There isn’t a dessert menu; it seems you just order based on what’s available on the day, and since there are no listed prices or names, you have to ask the staff.

Now, let me talk about what I ate:

🌻 Honey Pomelo Orange Sparkling Drink $180

You can really taste both the pomelo and orange; the bubbles have a denser texture, and with different fruits added, it has varied aromas. Personally, I think the balance of sweetness and acidity is just right, and I highly recommend it!

The portion isn’t too small, just about right. Perhaps it feels like a good deal because they use real fruit, giving it a high cost-performance ratio? The glass cup is larger than I imagined.

🌻 Muscat Grape Cheesecake $250

The grapes are really big! One grape in your mouth is quite filling.

Since they give a lot of muscat grapes, the price seems reasonable. However, perhaps because the cake itself is quite sweet, I didn't find the grapes sweet when I ate them... which is a bit disappointing. The cheesecake has a bit of lemony sweetness (but it’s mostly sweet) and is quite soft.

🌻 Brown Sugar Mochi Egg Tart $60

I feel this is a great deal! (My value perception is collapsing)
I originally thought the mochi would be very hard, but I was surprised to find it soft. When I went to buy it, there was only one left, so it must be quite a popular item?
It’s not overly sweet or greasy, and the mochi adds a nice touch; plus, the egg tart is pretty big—it's quite tasty!

After going with a friend who lives in Banqiao, he said he’ll be visiting here often in the future. With no time limit, power outlets available, close to the station, and a nice atmosphere, spending the whole day with a drink isn’t bad at all. If there’s a chance, I’d love to visit again!
