The pastry crust of Fat Nicky's has a caramel aroma and a crispy texture, while the filling is relatively generous. I recommend the strawberry mille-feuille tart and the cream puff series, especially the strawberry cream puff, which brings joy to one's mood.
The location of Fatty's has been considered a poor choice, but thanks to the efforts of the previous owner, Fatty's was able to settle in. There are three tables outside for customers to use.
Crispy Layered Egg Tart $75
Comparing it to the recent Journey He: both are located in shopping malls and both take a budget-friendly approach, with cream puffs being one of their signature items.
Personally, I prefer "Fat Fooni" because its pastry has a caramel aroma when chewed, and the crispy texture is also more pronounced.
However, the filling from Journey He is more abundant, so which one tastes better really depends on personal preference.
I highly recommend the strawberry layered egg tart and the cream puff series.
To be honest, I've always felt that Fat Fooni's location has a heavy aura; none of the previous stores managed to survive, and one of them even had its demise at Häagen-Dazs (which indeed ended up failing QQ). However, we should be grateful to the many previous sacrifices that ultimately allowed Fat Fooni to settle here.
During strawberry season, having a strawberry cream puff in the morning makes me feel that life is truly wonderful XD.
