🎉Rare in the North: Yánwán Soup🎉

One day, feeling bored, I went online to see what delicious food I could find, and suddenly I discovered a place called Yuánxiāng Mixed Noodles, located in the Yìwén District. I decided to go and check it out. 😆 The shop is tucked away in an alley, and the sign isn’t very noticeable, so it’s quite easy to miss. 🤪

Inside, there’s a separation between the noodle cooking area and the dining area, allowing for QR code ordering. 😁 Since the main focus of this shop is noodles, I ordered their signature Fúzhōu Dry Mixed Noodles, Mixed Soup, and Braised Pork Rice. 😁

Fúzhōu Dry Mixed Noodles:

When it arrived, it looked a bit sad. 😆 But during the mixing process, the aroma of pork lard was rich, followed by a delightful sauce. This is the purest form of good flavor! 😆 The noodles are chewy and not overcooked, showing that they know how to cook noodles well. Adding the vinegar and chili recommended by the shop elevated the aroma significantly! 😁 Highly recommended! 👏

Braised Pork Rice:

Savory and rich, it follows a half-fat, half-lean style. Although there wasn’t much braised pork, the flavor was sufficient when mixed in, so there’s no issue with lacking taste. ☺️

Mixed Soup:

Highly recommended for those who want to try everything but struggle with choices! 😆 This bowl has everything: Yánwán, fish balls, Fúzhōu balls, gónwán, and egg wraps! 🤩 It has it all! 👏 Plus, they offer the rarely seen Yánwán in the North! 😁 The texture is quite chewy and very delicious. 😋

To summarize:

This place is undoubtedly a noodle expert. Although parking is inconvenient, it’s very close to the Yìwén District if you park nearby. 😁 And the other noodles look great too, so I’ll have to try more next time! 😘
