The filling of the almond croissant is mixed with rich almond paste, giving it a unique texture. However, the chocolate croissant is rather disappointing; it isn't crispy enough and the chocolate flavor is not prominent.
The staff only communicated in French, and there was a sense of pushy salesmanship that made me feel a bit uncomfortable. However, the prices are reasonable, making it a good option for those in need of breakfast in the morning.
Because this morning was a bit rushed, I randomly picked a bakery! I thought it wouldn’t be too hard to buy a croissant in France 🇫🇷… When the staff saw us, they didn’t seem interested in communicating in English. Although I understand this is France, they were a bit pushy, enthusiastically talking a lot and then made us pay for four croissants 🥐. We paid a total of 10 euros for four croissants—while it’s not expensive, it’s just too much for us to finish…
In total, I got two types of croissants 🥐:
❤️ Almond croissant
This one looks like a simple almond croissant, but what's different from usual is that this croissant is not crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Instead, it’s a bit hard, but the filling has a lot of almond paste, so you can really taste the almond in the croissant!
❤️ Chocolate croissant
As for this one… I wouldn’t particularly recommend it, as I’m not quite sure what I was eating. It’s neither crispy nor particularly soft, and you can't really taste the chocolate—it’s just a croissant without any merits 🥐.
Overall, I wouldn’t particularly recommend it, but if you don’t have anything to eat in the morning and want to buy an almond croissant, and you’re not worried about buying two by mistake… then it might be worth considering!
