Of course you can’t miss seafood in southern Italy! Maybe? I don’t know where this idea came from. Maybe I thought the seafood would be very fresh just by the sea~

Our accommodation in Nanyi is located in Surendo in the Campania region. It is an important stopover for Capri Island and the Amalfi Coast. It is only about an hour's drive from the more famous Naples.

We didn't do any research in advance which restaurant we wanted to eat at, we just opened Google maps and looked for one with a high rating. This restaurant "La Cantinaccia del Popolo" had 4.7 stars, so we chose it.

Arriving at around 2pm, I found this restaurant full of people. Seeing this crowd, I felt relieved. The food must be very good.

Most of the seats are in the semi-outdoor area, and the waiters are very warm and friendly. During the middle of the meal, they played happy birthday songs for guests at a certain table, and invited everyone to help clap and celebrate their birthdays. It was a cool experience.

Sautéed Clams Pasta €15
There are a lot of clams, but I don’t know why they are big and small. They may be different varieties (?). They don’t have a strange fishy smell. Thank you!
The spaghetti is a little thicker and super elastic ~ it’s so delicious, damn it! The small drawback is that it's a little oily, but it doesn't affect the taste at all.

Grilled octopus pasta in red sauce €16
There were about three octopuses, but I thought they tasted a little fishy and I didn’t like them very much.
The spaghetti is equally delicious, and the tomato flavor of the red sauce is sweet and refreshing, even for someone like me who is afraid of tomatoes.

Tiramisu €6
After finishing a meal in Italy, the waiter will ask if we want dessert. We finally ordered it this time~ The tiramisu is not unbearably sweet, but I think the cake itself is a little dry.

Lemon sparkling wine €10
Suriento is rich in lemons. You can see various lemon products here, so be sure to order the lemon-flavored Spritz. It tastes like lemon sparkling wine. It is super refreshing and relieves the heat. Recommended~

This restaurant will serve limoncello shot after the meal. It tastes very lemony and has a strong alcoholic taste. The alcohol concentration should not be low. If you are not a good drinker, it is recommended to drink it slowly and don’t drink it all in one gulp.

Overall, I would recommend this restaurant in Suriendo. The food is delicious and the staff has a good attitude~
