There are famous fried dumpling restaurants in Shanghai. I ate at two of them during this trip, one is the time-honored "Dahuchun" and the other is the chain store "Xiaoyang Shengjian". I also visited the one-Michelin-star local restaurant "Renhe Guan". I also ordered its fried crab meat buns at that time, which must be considered a very gourmet spirit!
Those who are interested in Shanghai pan-fried buns can check out the reviews of other stores!
"Da Hu Chun" is said to be more local in Shanghai. What they ordered this time is:
-Fried fresh meat (¥15/4 pieces)
It's quite a big piece, the bottom is fried golden and crispy, and the dough is slightly thick when you bite into it. It's a pan-fried bun that will make you feel full after eating one or two.
The meat filling inside is salty (see the Jiandian menu photo for the filling) and tastes good, but I personally think it tastes ordinary and has no highlights. If you come to Yuyuan shopping district and don’t know what to eat, you can try it. After all, it is a time-honored restaurant, but it is better than The "Xiao Yang Shengjian" is my favorite.
The dining environment part,
There is really no quality at all. There are too many people in the business district. The whole store is noisy and crowded. The staff are also very busy. There are not many people to greet you. There are also people handing out flyers who walk into the store and throw them directly on everyone's table. The store clerk had no time to pay attention to the flyers.
If you don’t want to wait, it is recommended to order directly at the takeout counter, which can be picked up quickly. There are curbside seats outside the store where you can sit and eat without wasting time.
