檳城蝦麵的湯頭味道濃郁,蝦子新鮮,但麵條口感不佳,略顯沙沙且無法吸附湯汁。期待下次嘗試肉骨茶或海南雞飯。

💰About the prices💰
Penang shrimp noodles are $130. I was torn between choosing Bak Kut Teh rice or Hainanese chicken rice, but in the end, I thought I’d try the shrimp noodles since I had never had them before.
🍴About the dishes☕
The shrimp flavor in the broth is very strong, so rich that I almost couldn't finish it because it felt a bit overwhelming. There are three shrimp, which have been deheaded and shelled, leaving just a bit of the tail; there are also two small fish balls, half an egg, and a little bit of greens. The shrimp aren't large, but they should be considered fresh; the fish balls don’t have much filling and can be classified as fish balls. I have to say that the noodles are not tasty, with a sandy texture and they don’t absorb the broth well, plus there’s no chewiness.
🤨Conclusion♥
It seems that the Bak Kut Teh that everyone on Google highly recommends is the highlight here. The broth for the shrimp noodles is good, but the noodles really don’t cut it. I will still give it another chance next time to try the Bak Kut Teh or Hainanese chicken rice.
