This time, I visited 'HELLO! DONUTS', a Korean donut specialty shop that is becoming increasingly popular, especially among young women, just a 2-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station!
It seems that the shop was started by a couple who wanted to introduce the cream donuts that are all the rage in Korea to Japan. Upon entering the store, a colorful array of fluffy donuts filled with loads of cream was lined up in the showcase. The toppings, like the apple rose, were adorable and all looked tempting♡
Both the dough and cream are handmade from scratch in the shop, using carefully selected ingredients, including premium Hokkaido wheat flour. Even though they are fried donuts, they have a light texture that is very appealing. There is also a rich drink menu, so please enjoy them with the cute donuts♪
In addition to sweet donuts, there are also savory options like ham and cheese or hot dogs, making it a great choice for light meals.
Here are the items I ordered:
【Banana Brulee Donut】
Topped with crispy bruleed banana♡ It pairs perfectly with the generous banana cream and the chewy texture of the donut!
【Oreo Cream】
A cute donut topped with a whole Oreo! It is filled with a ton of Oreo cream to the max, making it extremely satisfying for an Oreo fan like me♡
Inside the store, the left side of the entrance features a calm, private-like table seating. A TV inside plays Korean dramas, so it seems like a great place to enjoy a café atmosphere while indulging in some Korean pop culture♪ It's a delightful space for Korean idol fans.
The interior is decorated with cute items the couple found in Korea, filled with a lot of dedication to give you a taste of Korea from the ambiance alone.
For takeout, it’s nice that you can bring donuts home in a 'Korean-style' original design box! You can either enjoy what you liked in the store as a gift, or have a great takeout experience! If you're visiting Shin-Okubo, be sure to stop by and enjoy the cute donuts♪
Once again, Harapeko-chan is fully satisfied!
Thank you for the meal.
