🍳 Our group ordered a full table totaling $2080: three portions of European-style breakfast with spiced grilled chicken $390, pan-fried beef shoulder with slipper bread $390, pan-fried beef shoulder with milk toast $390, double cheese and spicy meat sauce sandwich $320, oven-roasted chicken with black curry $340, and dessert Earl Grey apple-filled pancakes $250. The meal combination was rich and looked impressive 📷, but in terms of taste... it just looked impressive.

🥪 The flavors were average; the standout was the spicy meat sauce sandwich, which was flavorful without being greasy. The dessert was also decent, the Earl Grey pancakes had mochi inside, and paired with ice cream and Earl Grey milk tea syrup, it was quite a bonus. But to be honest, the other main dishes were quite ordinary, with familiar but unoriginal combinations, resembling a standard healthy brunch template.

🍋 The drinks chosen were unsweetened black tea and honey lemon water, which were on the weaker side, more like sidekick level drinks.

💸 A platter of breakfast costs $390, which is considered high even by Taipei standards, and the portion sizes feel small for men, leaving a bit of emptiness after the meal. In Yilan, the prices feel particularly high, especially with no reservations and cash-only policy, making the overall threshold not low.

📸 However, the lighting is truly beautiful, and the environment is clean and bright, making it great for taking photos, perfect for couples or friends to come enjoy pancakes and afternoon tea. But if you’re expecting to leave feeling full and satisfied, you might be a little disappointed~

🔹European-style Brunch $250

• The roasted chicken is well-marinated and flavorful, with distinct spice aromas that don't overpower the dish. The meat is firm and not dry. The slipper bread is toasted to a crisp and pairs excellently with the rich avocado sauce. The English unsweetened black tea is smooth and quite nice.

• This beef dish uses a firmer shoulder cut, and the barbecue mayonnaise is very tasty, making you want to go for another bite. There are three types of bread to choose from; we chose slipper bread and milk bread, both of which are quite pleasing in texture. Other ingredients like pickled tomatoes, spiced mushrooms, and basil sweet potato all have their own highlights, not just supporting roles. The honey lemon water is refreshing and cuts through the richness, making it ideal for this heavier dish.

🔸Double Cheese Spicy Sauce Sandwich (with English unsweetened black tea) $320

• As soon as it arrives at the table, you can smell the strong cheese aroma. The spicy sauce is not too hot but flavorful enough, and the filling is generous. The toast is crisp on the outside, and the cheese inside is rich and stretchy—very enjoyable! It's perfect for cheese lovers or those who prefer bold flavors.

🔹Roasted Chicken Black Curry (with Red Honey Lemon Water) $340

• The curry sauce is of a deeper roast type with a rich flavor and a slight spiciness, but it's not overwhelming. The roasted chicken is slightly charred on the skin and juicy on the inside. Overall, the dish has a layered texture.

🔸Earl Grey Apple Mochi Pancake $250

• This dessert rivals the main dishes completely. The pancake itself is slightly dense but not dry, with a subtle Earl Grey flavor, while the mochi in the center is sweet but not overwhelming. The apple flavor is light, and it's uncertain if there's apple filling inside. The accompanying sauce is a special Earl Grey milk tea sauce, which is quite sweet, but it's the type of dessert that makes you want to finish it and pack some to take home. A slight disappointment was not being informed about the ice cream on the side when ordering. The staff asked if we wanted it served first or later, and we chose first. It would have been more considerate if they had proactively mentioned the ice cream.

🧸 Red honey lemon water—some people might not prefer this type of honey, so those who are particular should choose carefully; personally, I quite like it.

🧸 The European breakfast was missing the roasted vegetables that day, and it was only mentioned after we had made our selections. If a lot of people are dining together, changing things at the counter last minute feels cumbersome and chaotic.
