The dishes at Qinyiwo Coffee Roasting House blend Western and traditional Matsu flavors. The Margherita pizza is refreshing and not greasy, the red yeast pork sausage is rich in aroma, the red yeast drunken chicken has a delicate flavor, and the sea clams are fresh and delicious. Overall, the quality of the meals is impressive.
Qinwo Coffee Roastery is located in an old stone building, boasting beautiful views of the Matsu coast. It has a unique atmosphere and is a must-visit stop for travelers to Qinbi.
Located in Qinzi Village, Beigang, the Qinziwo Coffee Roasting House is transformed from an old stone building and offers some of the most representative views of the Matsu coast. Sitting in the café, you can gaze at the layers of stone houses and the sea, making it a must-stop for many travelers visiting Qinzi. This time, we ordered a Margherita Pizza, red yeast iron plate sausages, drunken chicken with red yeast, stir-fried clams, and stir-fried greens. The overall style blends Western and traditional Matsu flavors, familiar yet a bit exotic.
The signature Margherita Pizza is made to standard, with a thin and crispy crust, balanced flavors of tomato, cheese, and basil, refreshing without being greasy, making it an excellent appetizer for sharing among multiple people. Compared to richer pizzas, this one leans towards the lighter side.
The Matsu specialty dishes are the highlights of this visit. The red yeast iron plate sausage is seasoned with red yeast, richly aromatic but not overly salty, and the slightly charred texture of the iron plate enhances the meat flavor, making it perfect for pairing with drinks. The drunken chicken has firm meat and a delicate wine aroma, with a hint of sweetness from the red yeast. It is one of the dishes on the table that truly showcases Matsu's characteristics.
The stir-fried clams are also very flavorful, with their sweetness beautifully brought out by the garlic oil, salty and fragrant, typical of home-cooked dishes in many island regions. After several days in Matsu, I noticed that nearly every restaurant serves stir-fried greens with cabbage, possibly grown locally.
Overall, the Qinziwo Coffee Roasting House not only offers great scenery but also has a certain standard for its dishes. If you're in Qinzi and looking for a place to sit down, have a leisurely meal, and enjoy the sea view, this is definitely one of the best choices.
