The egg crepe is the signature dish of this breakfast shop, made with great care in the artisanal process, but the taste is rather ordinary, similar to typical egg crepe combinations, and there are issues with the even distribution of the hand-applied pepper.
The division of labor within the store is clear, and the order is well-organized. Although the appearance is simple, it showcases skilled production processes and precise order management.
The service efficiency is high, order management is orderly, and convenient measures are provided for pre-ordering and then picking up meals to avoid long waiting times.
📍Location: Taichung, Dongshi
This breakfast place has been famous in Dongshi for 40 years!
When I walked in, I thought there was no one and I wouldn’t have to wait, little did I know the queue was so long that everyone was calling from home to wait!
Called "Stuffed Egg Crepe," of course, the signature dish is the stuffed egg crepe!
However, during the waiting process, I noticed that most regular customers ordered "stuffed egg crepe + sugar crisp crepe." The two large pots were continuously frying and baking stuffed egg crepes!
The internal organization of the shop is clear, and every step is solid and in place.
They even have a system where they count the quantity every 30 minutes.
For a breakfast shop, this system really surprised me!
But perhaps thanks to this, no orders were overlooked, and even new orders, quantity control, and waiting times were tracked very accurately!
Every stuffed egg crepe is rolled out by hand, spread with pepper, filled with eggs, and baked. There’s no cutting corners, and a lot of effort goes into making them before they’re served.
As for the taste, perhaps the higher the expectations, the bigger the gap.
It’s actually just a regular dough and egg crepe combination. It has some layers but isn’t quite at the level of a thousand-layer crepe. Plus, because the pepper is hand-spread, it may not be evenly distributed! 😅
🅿️ Parking Information
The shop is located near an intersection, and parking isn’t very easy. Most people come by scooter to buy their food!
I strongly recommend making a reservation before you come to pick it up!
