"The Fuzhou Noodle Shop" is located near Dihua Street. Before the New Year, I came to browse the New Year goods market and passed by this noodle shop, suddenly craving a simple bowl of dry noodles for dinner.

The shop is not large, with more outdoor seating than indoor seating. After picking up a menu and filling it out myself, I handed it to the staff. After eating, I paid the bill.

The utensils are disposable chopsticks and spoons, but the disposable spoon does not have a separate covering, so I felt a bit concerned when using it (it’s still best to bring your own eco-friendly utensils~).

Fuzhou Dry Noodles (small) + Fish Ball and Egg Soup $75
The dry noodles are very simple, just pork fat mixed noodles without any other ingredients (like vegetables), but it really suited my taste. I especially recommend mixing in some chili flakes for extra flavor; I regret only ordering a small bowl. The soup itself is quite ordinary, and I didn’t finish it; the fish balls are Fuzhou-style, meaning they have meat filling encased in a skin. I don’t know why it was labeled as fish balls on the menu; usually, Fuzhou noodles come with an egg wrap, but here they surprisingly included a boiled egg, which is quite unique, and it just tastes like… egg.

Soy Bean Curd $35
I personally feel that this is quite a large portion. It’s drenched in soy sauce, making it on the sweeter side; adding some chili oil would make it taste even better.

Overall, it’s a very affordable dinner, but it is a pity that I can’t order just Fuzhou dry noodles alone, as I don’t really like drinking soup.
