I've read about this restaurant <2J CAFE> near Da'an MRT Station from many bloggers before, and I'm very interested in it. I came here with my friends today to have a try~

The two-story old house space has big trees next to it. The old house building is full of green plants, very green🌿

During this visit, I sat in the space on the first floor and did not go up to the second floor~
I feel that the environment on the second floor is more beautiful, and many guests have specified that they want to sit on the second floor. The space on the first floor has mottled red brick walls, wooden tables and chairs, and warm yellow lighting, which makes the overall atmosphere very atmospheric.

⭐️Double cheese scones $250
There are about 8 slices in one portion. The white lump in the middle is honey cheese sauce. The crispy scones are paired with rich cheese. The overall taste is very harmonious. My friends and I both think it is delicious and we like it😋

⭐️Korean fried beef rice $220
A friend ordered this. I took two bites, but the rice was soggy and not to my liking.

⭐️Pomelo black tea $160
Korean yuzu jam is paired with Ceylon black tea. The sweetness is about slightly sweet. It was the first time I drank yuzu jam with black tea, and I thought it tasted unexpectedly. The refreshing taste is very suitable for summer nights.

⭐️Orange Sicilian $200
This cup was ordered by a friend. I didn’t take two sips, but she said this cup of Sicilian coffee was delicious, with a refreshing and slightly sour taste. She liked it very much~

The environment is really retro. It’s the kind of cafe with an old house atmosphere that I like. I feel that the seats on the second floor are very popular. I’ll visit again next time I have a chance to try this dessert~

The baked cheese is full of milky flavor and super attractive! The noodle body has a QQ feeling and is very delicious. The beef meat sauce is rich in aroma and goes very well with the lasagna! But the layer and portion of the lasagna are not many, which is the only drawback of this meal🥲

🌮Roast beef pocket pie with sauce 210
The roast beef with sauce has a salty aroma, and it is paired with ingredients and flavors similar to salsa. It is sour, sweet and has the aroma of spices. It is very appetizing and you will eat it one bite after another unconsciously!

🍹Green plum vinegar soda 160
Green plum vinegar is sweet and sour, and the taste with bubbles is even more refreshing. It is a very suitable drink to quench your thirst in summer🥤

A cafe with both ruins and industrial style. There are many indoor and outdoor seats, so you don’t need to worry about not running out of seats! I think the meals and drinks are delicious, but the portions are not that big🥲. The meal time limit is 4 hours, which is really long and feels very considerate🥰!

The outdoor seating feels completely different from the indoor seating. It feels a lot like a jungle adventure🤣. When I saw it, I really couldn’t imagine it was a cafe in Da’an District, hahaha, but it’s very special and perfect for taking pictures!

The meals are mainly Korean-style dishes, including curry rice, Korean bibimbap, spicy fried rice cakes, etc., and the reviews are quite high.
There is no time limit and no service charge, and the meals are reasonably priced. No wonder the seats are almost full during meal time.

My ordering experience
Food: Beef Lasagna
The taste is fragrant, a bit like a mixture of white sauce and red sauce, and it is stringy. The lasagna is stacked layer by layer, and the tomato meat sauce in the middle is made of real ingredients and contains a lot of meat. Some vegetables are added on top, and the amount of cheese is just right, so you won’t get tired of it after eating it.

Drink: brown sugar milk
There is plenty of milk froth, and there is brown sugar powder on the edge of the cup. The overall taste is very rich in milk flavor.

dining environment
The dining space on the second floor is very comfortable, and the store's carefully designed environment makes people feel comfortable. The mottled cement walls and large glass windows allow natural light to penetrate, making it very bright without turning on the lights. There are also many antiques and antiques that add to the dining atmosphere.
Overall, the dining environment is both comfortable and distinctive, and the old house architecture brings a unique atmosphere.
