🌟 Luna currently ranks first among late-night cafes.
Yuebo is located in a small alley on Fuliang East Road in Tainan's East District.
By bike: It is recommended to park on the outer side along Changrong Road/Fuliang East Road.
By car: Parking is available on the roadside along Fuliang East Road.
Yuebo is a converted old house café with two interconnected rooms. A fabric curtain named "Yuebo" hangs at the entrance, and once you open the wooden door, the air is filled with the scent of baked cakes. What catches the eye first are the bar seating (with power outlets) and tables for two. Initially, I thought the seating area was small, but then I discovered there are compartments leading to additional seats on both sides, allowing for selection based on mood when there are no customers.
Walking to the right, there is a room with wall seating, double seats, and four-person seating, most of which have power outlets. To the left, there are three areas: one with multiple independent double tables, one with a sofa section and double tables, and the last is the largest private room next to the restroom, capable of accommodating a long table for 6-8 people. Although the store looks small, it can actually hold over 20 people, with each space having its privacy and unique vintage charm, featuring intriguing circular openings that allow us to peek into other areas XDDD.
The interior is surrounded by the atmosphere of an old house, with decor and furniture carefully chosen to create a vintage ambiance. Each space's tables, chairs, and lighting have their own character, and the warm yellow light from 3000k bulbs along with the playlist's music and unexpectedly cool air conditioning create a delightful experience. We chose the red sofa area, which was super comfortable and relaxing. The overall atmosphere of Yuebo has made it my number one late-night café right now!!
What I really love is the selection of the playlist, which matches the store's vibe perfectly.
🎵🎵: BEYOND - Slow, Joanna Wang - Happiness with You, Frances Yip - I Want Us to Be Together, and the rest is for you to experience yourself at the cafe~~~
The Yuebo menu is as follows: Dessert items are listed at the counter, and the store's signature offerings include various flavors of Basque cheesecake, along with common desserts such as pound cake, lemon tart, and cheesecake. For drinks, coffee and lattes are the main focus, and other options include lattes, floral fruit tea, with hot floral fruit tea being refillable, etc. Prices range from 120 to 160 NT dollars. The only downside is there is no selection of pure tea.
Many people recommend the salted egg yolk Basque cheesecake, which I must try next time!!
🔺 Tieguanyin Basque $130
When I cut into the presented Basque cheesecake, I immediately knew it would be delicious. The texture transitions from a firm top layer to a delicate, soft middle. Biting into it, you experience the creamy and soft cheese with the rich aroma of Tieguanyin tea powder, achieving a perfect balance. I think Yuebo truly becomes my top choice for Basque cheesecake.
🔺 Tieguanyin Latte I/H $130
🔺 Berry Ice Tea I $120
The sweetness is fixed, and the berry ice tea seems to be brewed from tea bags, standard but not exceptional.
Thoughts: I directly rate Yuebo as the number one late-night café in Tainan, considering the ambience, seating comfort, atmosphere, music selection, and the Basque dessert. Not to mention, Yuebo also provides daily necessities for women in their restroom, making it a highly recommended place overall. Whether coming alone or with friends to chat, it serves as a wonderful space. Choosing the sofa area allows for a bit of lounging, though I wish there were more options for pure teas.
Emphasis on food: The Basque cheesecake is exceptional, drinks are average.
Emphasis on environment: The ambiance/lighting/music is phenomenal, with a sweet aroma filling the air.
Emphasis on parking: Park on Changrong Road if biking.
Parking by car: Roadside parking (though it's not easy to find a spot).
Emphasis on restroom: There are shared male and female restrooms.
Emphasis on waiting: Crowds are larger on holidays, so seating is not guaranteed.
Emphasis on service: It's quite good.
Value for money: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
