Famous Bak Kut Teh shop in Sabah
🍽️Environment
Xin Kee Bak Kut Teh is located on a busy roadside with a lot of seats, but it is an open space so there is no air conditioning, and some seats are placed on the roadside.
It's an afternoon and cloudy day, so I didn't feel too hot.
The business is very good and the table turnover rate is also very high. The store is equipped with Chinese-speaking clerks and Chinese menus, so there is no barrier to communication when ordering.
🍚Meals
▪️Casserole Bak Kut Teh (Medium) $30 MYR
The bak kut teh was still rolling when it arrived. There was a lot of pork trotters in it, and there were about two pieces of bone-in meat and a few meatballs. The overall ingredients were pretty good.
The bak kut teh here is more medicinal in flavor and has less peppery aroma, but it tastes quite comfortable and is recommended.
▪️Dry noodles $10 MYR
The sauce of the dry noodles is a bit sweet, but the overall taste is refreshing and delicious. It is paired with a few pieces of meat and a small piece of green vegetables. It is simple and delicious.
▪️Emperor Seedlings $10 MYR
The boiled green vegetables are added with soy sauce paste. The emperor seedlings seem to have a slimy texture, and the vegetables taste quite tender.
▪️Coconut water $6 MYR
Coconut water tastes sweet, but it's not as cool as ice.
