Located around the Rokkaku area in Teramachi Shopping Street,
is the specialty candied fruit shop 'amenone',
which is the Kyoto branch of a store in Kamakura.

Each season, they carefully select fruits that pair well with their specially made candied fruits, which are coated in a thin layer of candy that is just 1.6mm thick.

This time, I tried the following:

• Apple candy - Plain 680 yen

• Apple candy - Rich cacao 880 yen

• Strawberry candy - Plain 460 yen

• Kiwi candy - Plain 570 yen (available from around Nov to July)

• Mandarin candy - Plain 570 yen (available from around Nov to March)

• Pear candy - Plain 680 yen (limited time only)

• Cafe latte - M 400 yen

• Apple tea - M 400 yen

  I tried the classic apple candy topped with rich cacao,
  while all the others were plain.

It was my first time trying everything except for the apple candy,
and they were all incredibly delicious.

The thin candy coating makes it very crispy,
allowing the sweetness and juiciness of the fruits to shine through.

It's located within Teramachi Shopping Street,
and the drinks are reasonably priced,
so it's a great place to take a short break.
