步道咖啡館 Cafe Strada

Located about a 7-minute walk from Exit 1 of the Formosa Boulevard MRT Station.
It was drizzling outside that day, but as soon as I entered the indoor area, I was immediately surrounded by warmth. The charming wooden aroma hit my senses first, followed by the enchanting glow of the lights, which made me feel very calm 🤎
This place is also great for dining alone, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere and savor each dish. Usually, solo diners are seated at the bar, where the lighting is fantastic, but a small downside is that you can hear other customers’ conversations when they pay their bills.

The prices were even more affordable than I expected. The set I ordered came with a soup appetizer, bread, a drink of my choice, and a dessert of my choice, and it felt like a complete set; I personally think it’s a great deal 👍🏻
This time, I didn’t order the recommended items, but instead, I was captivated by the creamy mushroom and egg yolk fettuccine loaded with zucchini (I can't resist zucchini), and I’ll consider the other dishes a reason to return. I will definitely come back!
The fettuccine was cooked just right, slightly chewy, and the rich egg yolk and parmesan cheese aroma clung to the noodles, becoming more flavorful and aromatic with each bite.
I chose the special drink, Tropic of Cancer, which is a mango smoothie; the texture was finely blended and didn’t have an overly chemical aroma.
The banana pound cake at the end looked quite ordinary, but its moisture, sweetness, and aroma were all just right, making for a great conclusion 💞
