Recently, Dongsen Plaza reopened for businesses after major renovations. Especially the entry of Dian8hao made me very excited and decided to give it a try~
▪️Golden and Silver Egg Lean Pork Porridge
I highly recommend the No. 8 porridge. The egg yolk is very finely processed and paired with lean meat to make the overall taste very rich. There are also peanuts and a crunchy thing in it. It goes very well with the porridge and makes me take another bite!
▪️Sambo Platter
The barbecued pork and fried chicken are very tender, but the portions are not too much~
▪️Satay beef rice
There’s a bit too much rice, but there’s too little sauce and side dishes. After eating, the leftover rice will be dry and there are no side dishes to go with it. I don’t recommend this dish.
▪️Fried Carrot Cake with Xo Sauce
The XO sauce is very rich in flavor, the carrot cake is fried very crispy, and the spiciness is quite enough, suitable for those who can tolerate spicy food.
▪️Barbecued Pork Crispy
Because there were not many customers on the day I went, I was very impressed by the freshly baked barbecued pork cake! Crispy, crispy, oily and fragrant, it’s number one in my mind~
▪️Jinsha Pineapple Bun
It is also one of the must-try items. The golden sand bursts into pulp with one bite, and the salty aroma is rich!
▪️Wenshan Baozhong Tea
The Hong Kong style is a little too strong, so it is recommended to pair it with Wenshan Baozhong tea. It is full of tea aroma, can also remove oil and relieve greasiness, and the tea taste will not be astringent.
Overall, No. 8 is a popular chain of Hong Kong-style restaurants. Every item on the menu is of a certain standard. It is a good choice whether you are dining together or eating alone.
